Welcome
The Maddie Fund is a nonprofit, charitable fund that was created in 2020 to promote mental health and wellness, and to help support people who are suffering from various forms of mental illness, including depression and anxiety. The Maddie Fund provides direct financial support to a variety of local and national organizations that provide mental health and wellness programs and mental health research. The Maddie Fund has worked closely with all of these organizations to support their existing programs, and has also worked with some of them to help develop new programs, tailored specifically to their communities.
The purpose of this website is to be a resource for people who have been affected by mental illness. This site provides information about various forms of mental illness, therapies for those illnesses, and links to organizations and other resources that can provide help and services to those who are suffering- and to their families. Help is widely available for those who seek it, and there is much to be hopeful about. In just the past five years, many previously neglected and/or new and promising therapies to treat mental illnesses have produced encouraging results, and some have now become more broadly available to the public. This site is updated regularly to help you and your family find information about these therapies, with links to help you explore them further. There are many, many therapies and natural and pharmaceutical medications that are available to you. We want to encourage you to stay optimistic and to keep fighting to find those therapies, treatments and medications that may work best for you.
Please be aware that The Maddie Fund itself is not staffed by mental health professionals and does not directly provide services to individuals to treat mental illness. Rather, the Fund partners with well-resourced, well-managed programs that provide those services.
